Pouring rain could not keep Terrance West off the field for his pro day at Johnny Unitas Stadium, it also couldn't keep the scouts from coming out to see him. One of those scouts was the Patriots assistant to the coaching staff, Mike Lombardi.

West caught each pass thrown to him and kept his solid footing during the entirety of the event according to the Baltimore Sun. West also chimed in on his performance and what he thought.

"If I had to run on fire, I'd do it, man, whatever the weather is, I'm going to have to adjust to it. It's football. The running back coaches said I'm real smooth running the ball in the positional drills. Everything was great. I caught all the passes that was thrown to me. It wasn't perfect, but I caught them. I always knew I had great hands. I just had to show the scouts what I can do and that I'm versatile and can catch the football out of the backfield."

Scouts from all teams were impressed with West's performance, and believe that he can be a third or fourth round draft pick. According to the Baltimore Sun, West's combine numbers were as follows:

- 4.54 second 40 yard dash
- 16 reps on a 225lb bench
- 33.5 inch vertical leap
- 6.89 sec 3-cone drill

Ravens back-up running back Bernard Pierce has been mentoring West for the past two years as West looks to start up his NFL Career. If he is still around in the third round, then it may not be a bad acquisition for the Patriots to take a shot at. He has solid numbers at the combine, and was catching everything thrown at him in the pouring rain during his pro day. It may be worth it to see what he can do in camp and then run from there.
