Jamie Collins' advice to Patriots rookies

Jamie Collins, the Patriots first round draft choice in 2013, knows along with the rest of last years rookie class that nothing is given and you must earn the respect of the coaches and current players.  When asked what advice he would give to the class of 2014 rookies, Collins offered a simple response:
"Just come in and work man. Nothing is given to you. You just gotta come out and take it."
Collins spent the majority of the first half of the season learning the defense from the deep group of veteran linebackers that stood before him on the depth chart. With injuries to some of those vets, Collins got an opportunity to shine in the later stages of the season and did not disappoint. He knows that his job is to do his job(Belichick should be proud):
"Some guys are different. I’m just one of those guys, you know, I just look at things and I just know that’s my job, I gotta go to work and I gotta do what I gotta do in order to survive."
