Ty Law to be inducted in the Patriots Hall of Fame

In his first year of eligibility, former Patriots defensive back Ty Law earned a spot in the team's Hall of Fame. Law's Patriots career was successful on both personal and team levels; multiple Pro Bowl and All-Pro honors were just the icing on the cake of his crucial part in three Super Bowl Championships. Team owner Robert Kraft had this to say about Law's permanent place in team history:
"Ty Law was one of the greatest players in franchise history and one of the premier corners in the NFL during his Patriots career,” Patriots chairman and CEO Robert Kraft said in a statement. "The fans have helped validate that with this year’s hall of fame selection. We have had an incredible run of success and the building blocks started with players like Ty. He was an important part of three Super Bowl championship teams. It will be an honor to bring Ty back to celebrate his career as he takes his rightful place in our team’s hall of fame. I am sure he will deliver another memorable moment during his hall of fame ceremony, too."

Former Pats coach Bill Parcells and cornerback Raymond Clayborn were the other two HOF finalists that Law edged out in the fan vote in order to earn his spot. Law was drafted 23rd overall by the Patriots in the 1995 NFL Draft and immediately became a key contributor who's consistent performance was highly valued. Law was eventually named a member of the Patriots' All-1990's team, All-2000's team and the 50th Anniversary team. Now, his place in team history will forever be cemented as one of the all-time greats in the Patriots Hall of Fame.
