Belichick named best head coach in the NFL

The Patriots are consistently in the conversation for the Lombardi Trophy, even though they haven't won it in 10 years. That's due in large part to one Bill Belichick, and Sporting News agrees. They ranked Bill #1 head coach in the National Football League. Part of the reason is, according to Sporting News, that ability to keep the Pats in contention every year.

Per Sporting News:
It’s going to be a long time before any coach is able to dislodge him from the top, even if he never wins another Super Bowl. What makes him special, heading into Year 15 in New England: You can hardly remember the last time the Patriots began a season without being one of the favorites to win it all. Tom Brady or not, that’s indescribably hard to do.

Hard to argue with that logic. I have a feeling that once Tom Brady retires, the Patriots will hardly miss a beat. They may have 1 or 2 seasons where they're "rebuilding," but no more than that. If they even need a season or 2. Remember that one year Brady missed the whole season? Well, the Pats still won 11 games. That had a lot to do with the coach. I have a feeling the Pats will be fine post-Brady, and that has to do with Belichick. How things pan out in reality will probably be different, but I've got a feeling the Pats'll be fine with Coach Belichick at the helm
