Big Vince participates in 11 v. 11 OTA Drill

Isn't that a welcome title? Yes you read it right, Vince Wilfork participated in 11 v. 11 at Patriots OTA's. That is usually one of the final signs that a player is coming back from injury.

Typically, 11 v. 11 drills are not participated in by players that suffer ankle, knee, leg or foot injuries due to the fact that it is easier to re-injure themselves, so having Wilfork present means that his ankle is back on track for the most part.

ESPN noticed that Wilfork was moving well and pushing hard both on players and his ankle. Wilfork suffered a ruptured achilles on September 29th, and has been out since. Although not present through the entire workout, D'onta Hightower remarked on having Wilfork back on the field:

"Just seeing him back out there is a very, very big asset; it’s great, having him in front of you is like a big force field, especially being a linebacker, but for the team as well.”

At this rate, there is no doubt that Wilfork will be back out on the field come training camp July 23rd. He may not be there 100%, but he will be out there and by opening day, Big Vince will hopefully be ready to go!
