Darrelle Revis leaves minicamp practice early, Jamie Collins switches to offense
Some big news coming out of today's minicamp practice.
The biggest has to do with the Patriots biggest off-season signing, cornerback Darrelle Revis.
There was not necessarily an injury to Revis, or at least one that could be spotted by reporters, but he apparently "disappeared" from the field after participating early.
Boston.com:
After taking part in the team's warmups and opening drills of Wednesday's minicamp practice, cornerback Darrelle Revis disappeared from the field.
It was the first time Revis did not take part in the team's 7-on-7 and 11-on-11 drills.
It's a situation that bares watching, and not one Bill Belichick is willing to talk about.
RT @zuriberry: Belichick on Revis: "All the players that are out there practicing are practicing. And the ones that aren’t, aren’t.”

As for what else? The next most notable thing to happen was Jamie Collins getting some work at tight end along the goal line.
Collins has to easily be one of the most athletic players on the defense, and with the team hurting at the tight end position, it makes sense to at least try it.
Jamie Collins got into the offensive huddle in goal line situations today. We started calling him JC Superstar during practice

Brady asked Jamie Collins if he felt smarter in an offensive huddle. Wilfork said he didn't look tougher.

Collins told me he'll play anywhere - TE, Hback, RB, QB.

It's only minicamp, so who knows if that will translate in an actual game. One time at practice, the defense all played offense and the offense played defense. So, yeah, sometimes they just dick around.
Here's what else you missed.

Criticism fire Brady up? "Were (critics) Jets fans, Dolphins fans? My wife thinks I play pretty good. My mom thinks I play pretty good."

Fun sequence in practice where Brady went after Browner in 11-on-11 work. Targeted him three times in a row. Completed two to Thompkins.

Brady got Browner again at end of that period. Hit Thompkins on fade in end zone. Big cheers from offensive teammates.

Josh Boyce tapped out in the middle of warmups and was done for the rest of the day. Not a good sign for a guy who'd stood out lately.

Garoppolo had a rough day in terms of accuracy. None of the flashes we saw yesterday. Fumbled snap. Miscommunication. Rookie stuff.
— Phil Perry (@PhilAPerry) June 18, 2014
I had Garoppolo at 3-for-15 passing
— Nick Underhill (@Nick_Underhill) June 18, 2014
That was with two interceptions, and I believe that he fumbled a snap again. Him and Stork went on a lap.

I think Garoppolo has fumbled in each of the five practices that we’ve seen.
