Jets first round pick Calvin Pryor states the obvious: "We don't like Tom at all"

While many expected the Jets to bolster their offense with their first round pick in this year's draft, the selection of Louisville safety Calvin Pryor made complete sense from a fit standpoint. Pryor is a big-hitting, intimidating presence from the safety position, and should contribute right away to the trash-talking swagger Rex Ryan looks for from his defense.

Judging from his recent comments, Pryor has already caught on to the Jets locker room culture when it comes to the Patriots.

We don't like Tom [Brady] at all, man. When I first came in here, that's one of the first things I heard about: we hate the Patriots and we hate the Giants, so that's what everyone's told me. We hate those guys and we look forward to playing them this season.

Good. I wouldn't expect anything less of him, just as I'd expect everyone in the Patriots locker room to hate the hell out of everything Jets-related. The Patriots-Jets rivalry is one of the best in the NFL because of the legitimate culture of hatred that exists between the two sides, and the intensity level could be racheted up another level if the Jets many offseason additions (WR Eric Decker, QB Mike Vick, RB Chris Johnson, TE Jace Amaro, Pryor) are enough to turn the Jets into a serious threat in the AFC playoff picture.

Bottom line, if Pryor mouthing off a little bit adds a little bit more fun to their Week 7 Thursday night showdown, all the better. Bring it on, Jets, we'll be waiting, and we have that Revis guy on our side now. From what I've heard, he's pretty good.
