A fresh start, the Mark Sanchez story
The rumor mill is buzzing ever since Sam Bradford, the starting quarterback for the St. Louis Rams, went down with another season-ending ACL tear. Will it be Tim Tebow? Perhaps the Rams will roll the dice with backup Shaun Hill? The latest rumor is that Mark Sanchez might link up with his old New York Jets coordinator, Brian Schottenheimer.
Rejoining with your offensive coordinator is a no brainer right? Wrong! According to USA Today Sports:
But if Sanchez has anything to say about it, there's "no chance" he'd abandon his fresh start as a backup under coach Chip Kelly with the Philadelphia Eagles for a shot to rejoin Schottenheimer and play in St. Louis, a person with knowledge of Sanchez's thinking told USA TODAY Sports on Sunday.
A fresh start you say? I agree that playing for a different team can be a fresh start. However, you are playing for a team that has a really tough fan base. How did that work for you in New York/Jersey? You will have to learn Philadelphia's fast paced offense. Let's face it running a no huddle offense really wasn't a strong suit of yours while you were playing for the J-E-T-S, JETS JETS JETS! And oh by the way, you will be backing up an emerging quarterback in Nick Foles. Maybe getting splinters in your butt is your definition of a "fresh start".
There must be some bad blood between Coach Schott and Sanchez. Perhaps that butt fumble from almost a year ago messed with his critical thinking skills. Did you really think I wasn't going to mention the infamous butt fumble? C'mon man! Personally, I think Mark Sanchez is hoping that things are always sunny in Philadelphia!
