Are the Patriots done making moves? Three players that could be on the move

With the wound of the Logan Mankins trade still fresh for Patriots fans (and the players), I feel inclined to ask if the Patriots are done making moves? Well this Patriots fan hopes(and thinks) that the worst is over. This doesn't mean that the Pats are done making trades. I think Coach Belichick and Bob Kraft still have a few trades in mind to help stockpile picks for future drafts. However, the moves they make (if any) will not come to a surprise to the Patriots fan base.

If I were to enter the scary (but smart) minds of Belichick and Kraft, I would probably see the following players being dangled as trade bait:

1. Ryan Mallett

No surprise here to Patriots fans. Mallett has shown flashes of being starting QB material. However, with the emergence of rookie QB, Jimmy Garoppolo, many believe that Mallett has fallen on the depth chart. This begs the question if the former Brady backup will be traded to any suitors that may still be interested. According to Tom Curran (Pats Life article done by Josh Powers), he hopes that Mallet does pack his bags. One question for you Ryan Mallet. Do you like barbecue food?

Prediction: Traded to St. Louis for a late 2016 pick

2. Stevan Ridley

Ridley me this..Ridley me that? The play of Stevan Ridley has been great, except for his case of fumble-itis. If you ever want to know how to get on Belichick's bad side just ask Ridley. All fumbles aside, he continues to be the Patriots best between the tackles running back. Our very own panel of writers talked about Ridley in one of their roundtable discussions. I honestly think the Pats would be foolish to cut him outright without getting anything in return. I wonder if Kraft has the Buccaneers brass on speed dial.

Prediction: Traded to Tampa Bay for a late 2016 pick

3. Danny Amendola

Anyone else get the impression that Amendola is on thin ice with Belechick? After being anointed as the replacement for Wes Welker, you can't help but feel for the guy. Let's be honest, he did not perform up to everyone's expectations. Pats fans can hope that one more season with Brady to work out all the kinks and get on the same page will help Amendola's cause. But don't think for a second that the "hooded one" isn't watching you Danny Amendola. I think Amendola will be shopped around this season. So don't get too comfortable in New England.

Prediction: Traded to Cleveland for a late 2015 pick.
