Belichick: Gronk will practice against Philadelphia Eagles

USA Today Sports
Rob Gronkowski didn't make the trip to Washington to take part in joint practices this last week. All signs point to the Patriots just erring on the side of caution with him rather than a set back in his recovery from a torn ACL.

Now as the Patriots turn their attention to another joint practice with the Philadelphia Eagles, it appears that Gronk will see an increase in his practice activity.

Bill Belichick told Scott Zolak on 98.5 The Sports Hub and was reported on ESPNBoston that Gronkowski will indeed be out on the field during joint practices.

I expect that we will see him back on the field next week against Philadelphia [Eagles] working like he did before we left there and hopefully continue to make good progress

There is no reason to rush Gronk back. So as the preseason goes along don't be concerned if he misses a practice or doesn't play very much or at all in preseason games. The Patriots are more worried about having Gronk healthy for later in the year rather than wearing him down in training camp.
