Eye on the enemy: Bills, Jets, Dolphins, Giants, Ravens, Broncos

Preseason series keeping on eye on those teams that we dislike. Hatred is a little harsh. Each week throughout the exhibition season, we will recap the progress of some of our fiercest rivals.

1. Buffalo Bills
Last season: 6-10 Prediction for 2014: 9-7
1st exhibition game was a loss to the New York Giants, 17-13. QB E.J. Manuel was ineffective passing. He was only 2 out of 7 for 19 yards. He had 3 balls batted down. In 2nd game, good offensive balance with 175 yards in air and 131 on the ground. 20-18 win.

2. New York Jets
Last season: 8-8 Prediction for 2014: 8-8
When the most watched person on the team is not a player, that's a problem. Rex Ryan is in the final year of his contract.
1st exhibition game was a 13-10 win over the Indianapolis Colts. QB Michael Vick scrambled for 15 yards picking up a crucial 1st down. QB Geno Smith was 4 of 6 for 33 yards in his two series. Rex Ryan was happy. Only 2 minor injuries.

3. Miami Dolphins
Last season: 8-8 Prediction for 2014: 9-7
1st exhibition game was a 16-10 loss to the Falcons. Miami's goal to score more will have to wait until next week against Tampa Bay. QB Ryan Tannehill had an early td pass, but saw limited action. Safety Reshad Jones suspended 4 games for failed drug test.

4. New York Giants
Last season: 5-11 Prediction: 9-7
1st exhibition was a 17-13 win over The Bills. Eli Manning was sharp on 6 for 7 passing. 4th round pick, RB Andre Williams of Boston College rushed for 48 yards on 7 carries. With the retirement of RB David Wilson, Williams could be the featured back.

5. Baltimore Ravens
Last season: 8-8 Prediction for 2014: 10-6
1st exhibition game, Raven fans were out to cheer on RB Ray Rice. Ray rushed 3 times for 17 yards in a 23-3 win over the San Francisco 49ers. Several women were wearing Rice's No.27 jersey. No further comment.

6. Denver Broncos
Last season: 13-3 Prediction for 2014: 12-4
1st exhibition game was a rematch with Super Bowl Champs, the Seattle Seahawks. The penalty filled affair had 14 1st half penalties with a 45 minute lightning delay. Denver won 21-6. There was lots of jawing on both sides with 25 penalties.
