Vereen, Edelman are Brady's favorite targets so far

No surprises here, but Julian Edelman and Shane Vereen are shaping up to be important pieces in the passing game for Tom Brady. According to WEEI, Edelman (10 targets) and Vereen (7 catches) are in the top 3 for catches among Patriots receivers in preseason. And neither of them have dropped a pass yet so far.

WR Julian Edelman: 10 catches on 10 targets
WR Brian Tyms: 9 catches on 16 targets
RB Shane Vereen: 7 catches on 7 targets
WR Brandon LaFell: 6 catches on 13 targets
WR Kenbrell Thompkins: 6 catches on 9 targets

They've been playing with Tom Brady for the most part, so while the numbers are from all quarterbacks on the roster, most of their catches have been from Tom Brady. It's important to see the chemistry so far because I'm sure they'll be important come the regular season.

Time will tell, but I'm sure Julian Edelman and Shane Vereen will continue this into the regular season.
