Wilfork says achilles is now 'an afterthought'

We all know that Vince Wilfork's season was cut short last year when he torn his achilles against the Falcons. Since then, the big man has been rehabbing to get back into football shape, and it seems to be going very well:
“I felt pretty good coming into camp being able to come into camp and knowing I’d be fine. I just had to do it. And after the first day doing it, I haven’t thought about it after that and I still don’t think about it.”

From everything I've seen and read, Wilfork hasn't only just looked good so far in practices, he's looked amazing. In fact, today Albert Breer tweeted that Wilfork intercepted RGIII on a tip screen pass. It seems our anchor of the defense is game ready.

Wilfork has also gone so far as to shed some extra poundage, saying, "“With an Achilles, the more weight you can take off, the better you’ll feel." Make sense.

Basically, expect Wilfork to not only be ready for Week 1, but back to the old Vince we all know and love.
