Darrelle Revis: "Mike Wallace is probably the fastest receiver in the league"
Sunday will be the first time Darrelle Revis suits up in a regular season game for the New England Patriots. His first assignment will most likely be to cover speedy wide receiver Mike Wallace.
This won't be the first time the two have faced each other. Going back to when they were with the Jets and the Steelers respectively. As they prepare to face each other again, the two have been sending praise back and forth to each other. Its clear that they both respect each others game.
Revis' praise, in particular, was high.
WEEI:
The Miami Dolphins have put in a new offense this year that will be similar the the fast tempo offense that Chip Kelly runs in Philadelphia. An offense like that will definitely take advantage of Mike Wallace's speed. Couple that with the heat they will surely face on Sunday and it can make for a long day for the Patriots defense.
Revis and the defense will have their hands full with Miami's new offense on Sunday. If they do their jobs and execute the game plan they should be able to handle whatever Miami can throw at them.

WEEI:
Until you get out there … film speed and game speed are totally two different things. I played against him in the past — a lot of guys on this team have — and I know how fast he is. He’s probably the fastest receiver in the league. We all know that and we are all aware of it as well.

Miami always plays fast. They played fast in the past,” Revis said. “The weather plays a part as well. That hot weather. We’re aware. We’re aware of all the situations. I think that’s why we have a week to prepare to go through every scenario we can — player and coachwise — and just game plan the best we can.
