How many receptions will Danny Amendola have? Over/Under: 75
Next up in the over/under game, we have how many receptions Danny Amendola will have. The line has been set at 75!
Over/Under: 75 receptions
Prediction: 65 receptions (Under)
Let me start off by saying that Danny Amendola had big shoes to fill after "The Patriot Way" chased Wes "Molly" Welker away. I truly feel for the guy. However, my gut is telling me that Amendola will be on a short leash this year.
There are a two factors that made this prediction very easy. First, Amendola struggles to stay healthy. Let's be honest, he isn't the most durable guy. I can see Coach Belichick limiting his snap counts in order to preserve his wide receiver. Honestly, I think Amendola will fall short of 75 receptions because he can't fight the injury bug.
The second factor is that Brady has a number of targets that will be fighting for receptions. After the big dogs (Gronk and Edelman) eat, the hungry pups (LaFell, Wright, Amendola, Thompkins) will be fighting over the scraps. Not sure how much will be left for ol' Danny boy!
