Stevan Ridley 1 of 3 running backs who haven't fumbled yet this season
That headline isn't a joke and no you're not dreaming. Stevan Ridley has been one of the best running backs in the NFL when it comes to holding on to the football, which is something many fans and media members probably thought they would never hear.
If you've watched every game so far this season, you probably noticed as time went on that Ridley was doing a much better job of taking care of the football, something that he has been maligned for over the last couple of years. Many people speculated that his role would reduce this year because of this, or that the Patriots wouldn't look to resign him because of the dearth of running backs on the roster.
But for now, it seems as if Ridley has figured it out.
Ridley, for the season, has rushed for 317 yards and two touchdowns. His best game of the season to date came just a few nights ago in the Patriots 43-17 rout of the Bengals. Ridley rushed for 113 yards on 27 attempts and scored a touchdown. He also had a 43-yard run during the game, which is the longest run of his career to date (watch it here).
If Ridley continues his strong play and holds on to the ball like he has, he'll make the Patriots suddenly resurgent offense that much more lethal.
He'll also be in line for a big time raise this offseason, and everyone knows how the Patriots do business when it comes to contracts. With that said, it will be interesting to see how the Patriots value him when that time comes.

Ridley (84 carries) only 1 of 3 RBs this year who has least 75 carries without a fumble. Le'Veon Bell (87) & Frank Gore (77) the other 2.
