The media attempts to spin Brady's use of social media

Seems like when the Patriots have a great week, the media does not have much to talk about. A perfect example is the theory of Tom Brady's sudden interest in social media. According to Paul Perillo of Patriots Football Weekly and Mike Giardi from Comcast SportsNet, Brady is using Facebook as a means to win the public relations battle between him and coach Belichick.
Giardi's quotes from CSNNE.com
The Facebook thing, this has happened more than once. That's not him. This is completely and entirely out of character.
To me it already reeks of, I want to win the PR battle. It's me or it's the coach because eventually you're going to have to make a decision. So pick me because I'm the good guy
Paul Perillo was also quoted in the same article from CSNNE.com
I don't know why all of a sudden it's become something that's important to him and his camp.
Nobody enjoys conspiracy theories more than this guy. However, I think both of these journalists are just grasping at straws. Allow me to breakdown why I think both of these distinguished members of the media are wrong about their theory.
1.) Owners always side with players over coaches
Brady doesn't need a social media campaign to change this. I cannot seem to recall a scenario where ownership canned their superstar in favor of a coach.
2.) Brady is trying to leverage social media to boost morale
The media seems to forget how miserable things were for the first four weeks of the season. Getting blown out by Kansas City just pushed Pats fan over the edge. Who else can help rally the troops better than Tommy Terrific? Stumped? Let me give you a hint. The answer is NOBODY!
3.) Fans have little influence over any major decisions
Let's be honest Patriot fans, we do not have any power over what the ownership decides. It is not like Bob Kraft calls me up and asks what to do with Brady or who to sign in the offseason. Not gonna lie, it would be really awesome if he did. Regardless, a few Facebook posts isn't going to influence the key decision makers if it ever came down to Brady or Belichick.
4.) Brady just catching up with the times
I truly believe this is a classic case of all the cool kids doing something and Brady showing up fashionably late to the party. Picture this, Tom and Gisele are hanging out. Tom is playing on his phone and gets super frustrated. A concerned Gisele asks, "What's wrong Tomas?" Let me just pause and say that I get the impression that she calls her husband Tomas. I digress. Back to Tom and Gisele. Tom responds with, "I just can't seem to figure out the Facebook" Pause again. I put in a "the" before Facebook because Tom is getting older and that is what old people do. They put "the" in front of whatever is cool. I digress again and back to Tom and Gisele. With a huge smirk on her face Gisele says, "Let me show you how to use it". Just like that Brady gets super addicted to social media.
Like I said before, I think the media truly reached here due to lack of topics. If their theory is true, I really see this alleged PR battle being so one sided. I mean c'mon, do you really think Bill Belichick is going to have a social media battle with one of his players? I bet Belichick doesn't even have a smart phone. I feel like he is rocking one of those Zach Morris phones.
