Jonas Gray once did standup comedy but his big game was no joke

Jonas Gray was the hero of Sunday night's victory over the Colts. Rushing for 201 yards and four touchdowns on 37 carries.

He picked up the offense on a night that Tom Brady was struggling. With every first down he made and with the yards piling up the collective thought of everyone watching the game was "I wish I knew he was going to have this big game so I could have picked him up in fantasy"

While the general public had no idea that Jonas Gray was capable of going off Sunday night at least one person did. And that person was Robert Kraft, owner of the New England Patriots.

He didn't let his owner down. Even when the Colts loaded up the box to stop the run he was still able to gain yardage. In his 37 carries he didn't have a negative play. Showing the Benjarvus Green-Ellis like ability to fall forward when hit and gain an extra yard or two.

The best part of an unknown player having a breakout game? All the Internet detectives start digging up their past to give us their story. What was Jonas Gray's claim to fame before his four touchdown performance? If you answered being a stand up comedian that once open for Screech from Saved by the bell, then give yourself the afternoon off of work. Your boss will understand.

As someone who has done a bit of stand up comedy before and also played my fair share of football(AKA Madden), I can tell you need a lot of mental toughness to succeed at both. Whether its having a game changing fumble or the heckler in the back that just doesn't understand the genius behind your jokes you just have to shake it off and get back out there and give it a 110%.

One things for sure, defensive coordinators won't be laughing when they're preparing to face Jonas Gray from now on.
