Jabaal Sheard is visiting with the New England Patriots tonight

Mike Reiss, ESPNBoston:
Free-agent outside linebacker Jabaal Sheard is scheduled to visit the New England Patriots Tuesday night, according to ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter.

Sheard was the one free agent picked as the "top target" for the Patriots in ESPN.com's NFL Nation blog post previewing free agency. The 6-foot-3, 264-pound Sheard was a second-round pick of the Browns in 2011. He has 23 sacks in his four-year career, and while he projects to an end-of-the-line role in the Patriots' scheme, he appears to also have some positional flexibility.

What team wouldn't want a DE/OLB who runs a 4.67 40 yard dash, who rushes the passer, and can cover running backs out of the backfield? The Patriots have Jabaal Sheard under lock and key. There is little chance that he will get away unsigned.
