Patriots grab RB Travaris Cadet from New Orleans Saints

The New England Patriots have found a potential replacement for Shane Vereen. The Pats picked up free agent RB Travaris Cadet from the New Orleans Saints. Cadet was a restricted free agent who was not tendered a contract. Travaris played his college ball at Appalachian State.

Cadet caught 38 passes for 296 yards for the Saints last season despite playing just 209 snaps. He has only 11 career carries. The first two years, Cadet was rarely used in the offense, catching only seven passes in 26 games.
