Pats could end up facing AP as a member of the Cowboys

It's pretty clear that Adrian Peterson wants out of Minnesota. According to Mike Leslie of the ABC affiliate in Dallas reported that Peterson said that it would be nice to come to Dallas because of his family connections here:

However, he is still under contract with the Vikings and they have no intention of trading him. Per USA Today:

“I think Coach (Mike) Zimmer stated it pretty clear that we have no interest in trading Adrian Peterson, and we don’t,” Spielman said.

“Adrian made a mistake. He’s paid the price for that mistake, but I think if our organization didn’t believe in Adrian Peterson he probably still wouldn’t be here today and that’s from our ownership on down.”

From a Patriots perspective, they'll face the Dallas Cowboys in Dallas in Week 5, which may or may not include Adrian Peterson. The Cowboys do need a replacement running back after star running back DeMarco Murray went to their NFC East rivals, the Eagles, so I'm sure they'll be monitoring Peterson closely.
