Mike Ditka thinks Tom Brady is innocent

Legendary Chicago Bears coach and current ESPN analyst Mike Ditka is rooting for Tom Brady to beat the NFL in court, thinks he shouldn't settle with the NFL and also thinks the quarterback is innocent in regards to Deflategate.

Yesterday on SportsCenter, Ditka said the following:

“If you’re innocent — and I believe Tom Brady is innocent; he doesn’t have to deflate a football to win a football game — then you don’t (settle).”

Considering this is coming from someone who works at ESPN and who doesn't have any ties to the Patriots, color me surprised. The Worldwide Leader has been at the forefront of trying to make Brady out to be guilty and a terrible person.

Anyway, as the court of public opinion begins to turn in favor of Brady, more and more high profile football minds are coming out in support of the star quarterback. Many were elated to hear that Brady's appearance in federal court yesterday looked very good for him, but it's obviously not time to celebrate just yet. I'm not a legal expert by any means, but with the way things have gone with this entire saga, things can turn at any time.
