Roger Goodell is booed on his home turf

Mike Florio, ProFootballTalk:
Commissioner Roger Goodell has arrived at the federal courthouse in Manhattan. And even though New York City is a haven for football fans who hate the Patriots, Goodell heard it from those who showed up.

It’s not really a surprise, and it’s no surprise that the audio was omitted from the footage that aired on NFLN. Goodell routinely was booed at Radio City Music Hall for the draft, and some believe that Goodell’s annual New York City reception was one of the reasons for moving it out of town.

Football season is the full 12 months for the fans. They come out in full force to voice their displeasure with NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, home or away. The animosity started with the Ray Rice two game suspension decision, and will continue as long as he is the face of this most recent farce, DeFlateGate.

Jon Keller, CBSBoston:
“He’s trying to hide any kind of facial expression with that blank face,” non-verbal communications specialist Don Khoury, looking at one recent Goodell press conference, told WBZ-TV political analyst Jon Keller. “It looks like to me there’s a tremendous amount of anxiety, he’s swaying back and forth.”

The body language for Tom Brady exudes confidence. Tom looks like he doesn't have a care in the world. As for his opponent, a fistful of pardons won't help him today. Alienating the public only works in politics. Judge Richard Berman will be outside with the boo-birds after the hearing.
