AFC East Power Rankings - Week 9

Aside from the Patriots, things are really getting interesting in the AFC East. Right now, the Bills are in second place in the division, but there's no clear-cut second-best team in this thing. It's almost comical at this point, but let's get to it.

1. Patriots - Huge, huge gut-check win over the Giants on Sunday. This is the kind of game they had to play in eventually to truly be tested. In all honesty, they really shouldn't have won this game, but I'm not complaining. It'll be interesting to see how they make up for the loss of Julian Edelman, One would figure Danny Amendola will get more reps, but with this team, you never know. The Bills come to town for a Monday Night Football date next week.

2. Bills - The Bills are only up here because the Jets basically crapped their pants last week. Tyrod Taylor is back with Buffalo, and all of a sudden everything seems right in Rex Ryan's amusement park. Sammy Watkins and the running backs look healthy, finally, so that should help their offense. The Jets only scored 17 points against Buffalo's defense, but the Patriots are another animal. The Bills will try for redemption against the defending Super Bowl champions next Monday night.

3. Jets - They're 5-4 and are trending down. Ryan Fitzpatrick and Brandon Marshall are playing hurt, Antonio Cromartie is starting to show his age and Darrelle Revis looked somewhat human last Thursday. They've got a cake match up with Houston this week, but it gets sort of tough for them after that. If they have any hope of chasing a wild card spot, they have to win this weekend.

4. Dolphins - Back in the cellar again for these guys. Yes, they beat the Eagles, but they beat them with Mark Sanchez playing for almost half of the game. The Eagles aren't good right now, and Miami only won by a point. Sure, they were down 16-3 right now, but this really wasn't all that impressive of a win. Lamar Miller continues to play well, however.
