The Patriots worked out former Rams RB Daryl Richardson

Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk is reporting that the Patriots worked out former St. Louis Rams running back Daryl Richardson yesterday. With New England thin at running back after Dion Lewis suffered a season-ending ACL injury on Sunday, the Patriots may have been looking for some insurance.

Richardson was a seventh-round draft pick for St. Louis in 2012 and spent two years with the team. Afterward, he spent time on the Texans and Dolphins' practice squads. Richardson left New England without a contract.

Florio also reported the Patriots tried out offensive linemen Reid Fragel, Keavon Milton and Torrian Wilson. None were offered contracts.
