Bills claim Patriots WR Leonard Hankerson off waivers
The Buffalo Bills have claimed wide receiver Leonard Hankerson off waivers from the Patriots. Hankerson only played in one game for 10 snaps for New England before being placed on waivers. The team was hoping to re-sign him before the Bills swooped in and grabbed him.
Hankerson was claimed by the Patriots a few weeks ago, after the Atlanta Falcons put him up for grabs. The fifth-year receiver was just coming off of injured reserve and hadn't played a game.
He will only be a one-game rental for the Bills, who aren't going to make the playoffs, unless they re-sign him to a longer term deal. He'll be an unrestricted free agent after the season.
