Dion Lewis should be ready for training camp

Patriots running back Dion Lewis is on pace to be ready for training camp in July, which is only six months away.

The shifty running back tore his ACL in Week 9 against the Redskins. He established himself as a viable threat in the Patriots' offense, totaling 234 yards on 49 carries and two touchdowns, as well as 36 catches for 388 yards and two touchdowns.

As Jeff Howe of the Boston Herald points out, the Patriots could choose to put restrictions on Lewis like they have with Rob Gronkowski and Dominique Easley in the past. Lewis's two-year, $3 million contract extension kicks in next season.
