Report that Chandler Jones overdosed on pills with Gronk is false

In the midst of all the weirdness that is this Chandler Jones going to the hospital story, Pro Football Talk reported last night that Jones overdosed on pills at Rob Gronkowski's house on Saturday night. That report was proven to be false, as Gronk was apparently not in town at the time of the incident.

It was then thought that Jones still took pills, but not at Gronkowski's house once it was known that the tight end wasn't in the area.

No one knows exactly what happened, but the rumors that are floating around now are that Jones may have smoked laced marijuana, or just too much of it.

This much we do know - Jones walked to a Foxboro police station near his home Sunday morning and was subsequently taken to the hospital when he told police he was having a medical emergency.

Either way, the fact that he's been with the team all week speaks to how much of a non-issue it is.

One interesting nugget from the Foxboro Police, which said Jones looked like a "confused party" when he walked into the police station Sunday morning.

There is audio of the police talking about Jones when they noticed he was walking around outside the station, which is when they said he looked confused.

Additionally, it sounds like whatever he smoked, injested, etc. really isn't a big deal.

The recordings included a police officer being sent to Jones’ home saying: “I got his keys off the kitchen table, I was able to lock the front door. If you want to just pass along to the fire, he was definitely involved with Class D delta before this happened, just so they know.”

That’s likely a reference to Class D narcotics, which includes marijuana.

We'll have more on this if anything new comes out.
