Rob Gronkowski mysteriously missed practice yesterday

Between the wackiness of Bill Belichick's black eye and Chandler Jones being admitted to the hospital Sunday morning for an undisclosed medical emergency, yesterday was a weird day.

It was made even weirder when we learned that Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski missed practice. No one has any idea why, but some have speculated that it could have just been a maintenance day. The Patriots had a full-contact practice, and it's possible they wanted to keep him off the field to prevent a possible injury.

That'd make sense, considering they're getting key players back for this Saturday's divisional round match up against the Chiefs and don't want to lose Gronk for any reason.
