Rob Gronkowski would have no problems playing rugby says Nate Ebner

We all know the kind of freak athlete Rob Gronkowski is. Over and over again he has proved this to the New England faithful who turn up week in, week out to watch the Patriots play. With such raw talent as an athlete, he could surely pick up a sport in a matter of minutes and be good, maybe even great at it straight off the bat. This is what Pats teammate Nate Ebner thinks about Gronk and rugby, as he prepares to go to the Olympics in Rio de Janeiro.
"How would Gronk be at anything that is physical?" Ebner said. "I think that answers that. He's a beast. He'd have no problems."

Ebner is part of the USA Olympic Men's Rugby Sevens team travelling to Brazil this summer, but he also plays safety for the New England Patriots. Ebner had played rugby most of his life and was a star at rugby in college whilst attending Ohio State. However, he decided to pursue his dream of playing in the NFL. The New England safety believes if Gronk were to make this transition into rugby, he could achieve great success.

The Dan Patrick Show (see above) interviewed Ebner about participating in the Olympics, he faced questions such as did you get Bill Belichick's blessing to play in the Olympics, which sport is tougher and so on.

To be honest, I think every football fan that has seen Rob Gronkowski play would agree that he would excel at rugby due to his natural ability in general. It shows the kind of freak athlete Rob Gronkowski is for a guy like Nate Ebner, who has played rugby all his life and now plays at the highest level, to give this sort of praise.
