Bill Belichick chose to sit Tom Brady
We all know how tough Tom Brady is tough and will play through anything for his teammates. He even won his last Super Bowl while battling a cold! Even though he sliced his thumb prior to the Thursday night preseason game against the Bears, fans expected him to play. But maybe he didn't have a choice.
Bill said in a post game press conference that he made a decision before the game to only play Jimmy and Jacoby. Just hours before the game started Belichick told 98.5 The Sports Hub that fans would get to see all three quarterbacks.
Belchick was asked about Brady slicing his thumb before the game but he didn't say a word and simply said that he made the decision. Belichick also refused to comment on Alan Branch's suspension.
Jimmy Garoppolo said that the decision was pretty sudden and that he literally found out before the game started. Jimmy played well in his start completing 16 of his 21 passes.
Once again, this is classic Bill Belichick keeping us guessing, but as Patriots fans we must trust in Bill.
