The Patriots have added depth to their defensive line in the wake of the possible Alan Branch suspension by claiming defensive tackle Darius Kilgo on waivers from the Denver Broncos.

Kilgo is a 2015 sixth-round draft pick of the Broncos who is more of a run stopper than a pass rusher. He has appeared in 18 games for the Broncos over the last two years, including all of their playoff games last season.

To complete the transaction, the Pats released rookie running back D.J. Foster.
