Gronk doesn't think Roger Goodell would survive in Foxborough

Rob Gronkowski has sounded off on the possibility of Roger Goodell attending the Patriots' home opener next season, and I'd be willing to bet anything every other member of the organization feels exactly the same way.

Gronk doesn't think Goodell would even make it to Gillette Stadium if any Patriots fans saw him prior to the game.

New York Daily News:

“The fans are nuts, they’re wild, and they have the Patriots’ back no matter what. They have Tom’s back," said Gronkowski, when asked if Goodell can go to Gillette Stadium. "I’m telling you, he won’t get through the highway if the fans saw him."

"I don’t even think he can even land in the airport in Boston because Patriot fans are the best fans, they’re the most loyal fans," Gronk continued. "I’m telling you, they might just carry out Roger themselves. They couldn’t even get to the stadium in Foxboro if he landed in Boston.”

No one even knows if Goodell will actually show up despite saying he would be there if he was invited. But does that guy really need an invite to go to any NFL stadium? I'm calling BS on this.

I also don't doubt Patriots fans would give him hell if they saw him in public, but I hope no one would be stupid enough to actually physically hurt the guy.

On a lighter note, Gronk emphatically stated he'll be ready for the start of next season.

"Yes, for sure," he said.
