Andrew Hawkins announces retirement

Patriots wide receiver Andrew Hawkins announced earlier today that he is retiring from the NFL to pursue a Ph.D. in business and economics.

Hawkins said via Uninterrupted that he felt like his body was breaking down on him and he didn't feel right heading into training camp.



Hawkins played six years in the NFL with Cincinnati and Cleveland. We wish him the best.
