Elandon Roberts' injury isn't considered serious

Karen Warren/Houston Chronicle

The Patriots were holding their breath yesterday when second-year linebacker Elandon Roberts left practice with a non-contact injury. However, it is being reported that the injury isn't serious.

Roberts is being looked at as a player who could have a breakout year for New England, who don't have too much depth at the linebacker position. He showed flashes of dominance last year (who could forget that Bengals game?) and received more playing time after Jamie Collins was traded to Cleveland.

And with Dont'a Hightower still on the PUP list, having Roberts healthy is even more important.
