Patriots ban Tom Brady's trainer from numerous team privileges

The Patriots have banned Alex Guerrero, Tom Brady's personal trainer and business partner from a variety of team privileges.

He can no longer accompany the team on flights, nor can he be on the sideline during games. He also is only allowed to treat Brady in his office, which is near the Patriots' locker room inside Gillette Stadium.

Players other than Brady who seek treatment from Guerrero will now have to go to the TB12 Center, which is in the strip mall next to the stadium.

All of this adds to the idea that there is a feud between Bill Belichick and Guerrero, although nothing of the sort has been confirmed. The supposed rift goes back at least a few years, as a 2015 Boston Globe report stated Guerrero's presence didn't sit well with the Patriots' medical staff.

Brady credits Guerrero as a big reason why he continues to play at a high level at age 40. But when asked about the ban, Brady didn't have much to say.

ESPN:

"I don't have any comment on that other than to say Alex, it's been well-documented, has been a huge part of what I do, and I'm so fortunate to have him not only as a friend, but with everything that we've been able to do together."
