Pats host old friends Jonathan Casillas and Asante Cleveland, contact Danny Woodhead

The Patriots may be looking to reunite with a couple familiar faces, and they'd all be welcomed additions.

The team reportedly hosted free agent linebacker Jonathan Casillas, who won a Super Bowl with New England in 2014, and tight end Asante Cleveland, who had a brief stint with the team in 2015. Casillas and Cleveland would both be solid depth additions given the injuries the Patriots sustained in 2017.

The team also contacted free agent running back Danny Woodhead, who spent three years with the Pats before signing with the San Diego Chargers. With the loss of Dion Lewis, Woodhead would add another quick runner and pass-catching threat to go along with James White, Rex Burkhead and Mike Gillislee.

However, Woodhead hasn't been able to stay healthy since leaving New England. He's suffered a torn ACL, a broken leg and a hamstring injury which forced him to miss significant time all within the last four years.

The Atlanta Falcons have also reportedly reached out to Woodhead.
