Tony Garcia has been cleared to play in 2018

Patriots' offensive tackle Tony Garcia, who missed the entire 2017 season with blood clots, has been cleared to play next season.

Garcia announced the news on his Instagram page.

Earlier in the offseason we learned that because of the blood clots, Garcia had lost a ton of weight and wasn't near his playing weight of around 300 pounds. By being cleared, Garcia is back at his playing weight and should be a full go for training camp.

However, given how severe a blood clot is, it wouldn't be shocking at all to see the Patriots be cautious with him and work him in slowly.
