For a while, it seemed as though the New England Patriots had the ideal plan in place for Tom Brady’s successor.
But that plan was no longer in effect after quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo was traded to the San Francisco 49ers late last season.
The Patriots currently have Brady and 32-year-old Brian Hoyer on their roster at the quarterback position, but the team is highly expected to add at least one more to round out the depth chart at that position.
Louisville’s Lamar Jackson seems to be on their radar, and it looks like Tom Brady would be on board with it as well – according to this Instagram post.

“He’s a beast!!!!” Brady says of Jackson in back-and-forth commentary between he and Deion Sanders.
Speaking of Brady and the NFL draft and the beginning of a new season, OTAs are starting up on Monday, and it seems as though TB12 will be MIA from the first day.
Brady, his wife, Gisele Bundchen, and their two children arrived in Qatar on Thursday as part of a program for his charity, Best Buddies.

As reported by Albert Breer of MMQB.com, Brady and company aren’t heading back to the states until later on Monday, which means the quarterback will not likely be at the start of the Patriots’ offseason program.
