Julian Edelman appeal to be heard today

Earlier this month, it was reported that New England Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman is facing a four-game suspension for violating the NFL’s performance-enhancing drug policy.

And now, Edelman is heading to court.

The 32-year-old veteran’s appeal will be heard today in a case that will question the league’s handling of the whole situation.

There are two major factors in this appeal that could help the wide receiver. As reported by MMQB, Edelman tested positive for a substance that wasn’t something the league’s drug testers recognized. The other issue is how the test results were documented and delivered.

For the appeal, Edelman has teamed up with Alex Spiro - an attorney from New York who is known for helping NBA players in legal matters.
