One twin’s time with the New England Patriots has come to an end, for now.

It was recently reported by ESPN’s Field Yates that the New England Patriots have waived wide receiver Cody Hollister with a non-football injury designation.

Hollister signed with the Patriots as a rookie free agent in 2017 but spent all of last year on the team’s practice squad. His twin brother, Jacob, is in the running to be Rob Gronkowski’s backup this season.

There is, however, a chance that Cody doesn’t end up on another team and could return to the Patriots as a free agent or sign again with the practice squad.

In other New England news, the team has signed free-agent offensive lineman Nate Theaker. Theaker was undrafted out of Wayne State in 2017 and has practice squad experience with the Dallas Cowboys and New Orleans Saints. Theaker signed a futures contract with the Saints in January, but was cut in May.
