Gronk says Tom Brady isn't that mean to him anymore

Tom Brady is soon to be 41 years old on Friday, August 3.

He still has the same fire, intensity and passion on the field that we’ve all come to know; but as the years have passed, Rob Gronkowski has noticed a more mellow side of TB12.

"I would say, probably back in the day, he was probably a little more on you if you didn't get it right, a little bit more in your face.” Gronkowski said after Wednesday’s practice. “But he's going on 41 now, I feel like he backed off on that a little bit, which is nice. He used to be mean to me. Now he's not to these young guys anymore."

Kinder he may be, but when it comes to the game of football, the competitor in Brady is always there.

"It's just unreal, it's remarkable. You just learn from him. You want to get taught from him," said Gronk said. "You want to be on the same chemistry as him out on the field, because he knows where you need to be. He knows talent around him, he knows guys around him, he's seen talent from the last 15-20 years on. So when he has something to say, something to correct, you have to listen.”

You can bet that everyone will be on high alert Friday and playing at a strong level. Because as Gronkowski said, on Brady’s birthday, “he just wants a good practice and a lot of touchdowns.”
