Tom Brady discusses his relationship with Bill Belichick, will play Thursday
USA TODAY Sports |
So much has been made of Tom Brady's relationship with Bill Belichick, which they have both addressed more than once recently.
Brady once again discussed that very topic on his weekly radio appearance with WEEI's Kirk & Callahan.
USA TODAY:
"I think our priorities are the same that they've always been, and I think that's why we get along so well. We're here to win," Brady said on WEEI. "It's been a very professional environment he's created, and I think I'm very lucky to be in that environment. ... I feel very privileged to kind of be mentored by him as long as I have."
Brady was also asked about how much longer he thinks he'll play for the Patriots, as his contract is up at the end of next season. He said he plans on being with the team after next year and "beyond."
"I certainly expect to be here next year and hopefully beyond. I have goals to play for a long time. I still love doing it. I still want to do it. ... but at the same time, it's a physical sport, it's a demolition derby. You never know when you're going to come out of it."
Fans can expect to see Brady on the field on Thursday night when the Patriots take on the Eagles in Foxboro.
