Sony Michel will reportedly return Sunday against Tennessee; Gronk may sit

With Sony Michel and Rob Gronkowski both out for Sunday night’s game against the Green Bay Packers, the New England Patriots had to make a fair share of adjustments on offense.

But it might not be for long, as it was reported by ESPN’s Adam Schefter, that Michel is likely to play Sunday against the Tennessee Titans.

While the running back’s return is looking promising, it’s still unclear when tight end Rob Gronkowski could see action again.

Schefter suggests that resting Gronkowski this week, with a bye week ensuing, the all-star tight end would get “two weeks of rest for the price of one.” He went on to say that Gronk has “really been week-to-week with back and ankle injuries.” So, playing it safe might be what the Patriots choose to do.

As for Michel, Schefter tweeted yesterday that he “just needs a good week of practice with no setbacks,” but he’s “on track” and “likely” to return this coming weekend.
