John’s Well-Educated Guesses: Patriots vs. Bills

We’re on to Buffalo.

The schedule makers always try to load up on divisional games at the end of the year to make things interesting.  Eventually they will be meaningful.  Eventually there will be a lot at stake.  Luckily, this is not the case in 2018.

A simple win against the lowly Bills will net us our 10th division in a row.  This is a hats and t-shirts game with no contingencies.  Win and we are in.

Seems like a foregone conclusion for awhile now.  And there seems to be a dour mood hanging over Foxborough with how this season has gone.  We have not played up to Patriot standards, Josh Gordon is gone and Brady is supposedly on his last legs.

That being the case, I also think it’s important to ruminate on the whole thing from time to time.  10 division titles in a row is no joke.  The last time we didn’t win the AFC East, we went 11-5 with Matt Cassel and lost on tie breakers.  I guess what I’m saying is that if the dynasty has to end tomorrow, just remember how good we’ve had it.  I’ll never forget you guys.

Prediction:  Pats win the division – I need a lay-up here guys.  I got smoked last week thinking we would beat the Steelers.  As I said, this is a big accomplishment and the first goal any team looks to cross off their annual list.  Here’s to another ten years.

Prediction:  Running game is focus – Bills are sneaky good pass defense which I find weird to think about.  I guess if I remember last season they have Tre’Davious White…He is still playing right?  I just ask because I haven’t heard much about him.   Anyways, with no Josh Gordon, I think we run it behind Michel and Burkhead.  I’ll say the two of them combine to go over 150.

Prediction:  Pats Win 13-10.  Lets just stay healthy at least?
