Patriots host Demaryius Thomas and T.J. Yeldon

The New England Patriots were pretty busy on Wednesday.

Along with the signing of tight end Austin Seferian-Jenkins, the team hosted wide receiver Demaryius Thomas and running back TJ Yeldon in free agency.

Thomas was released by the Houston Texans in February and is currently recovering from a torn Achilles that he suffered late in the 2018 season.

Before his injury, Thomas accounted for five Pro Bowl nods and five consecutive 1,000-yard seasons from 2012 to 2016. He has also worked with offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels during his stint with the Denver Broncos. Reuniting the two could potentially work out well in New England’s favor.

Yeldon had a productive 2018 season with the Jacksonville Jaguars, gaining 487 receiving yards on 55 receptions with four receiving touchdowns. He also tallied 414 rushing yards.

Adding a second dual-threat running back to their roster [in addition to James White] could only prove beneficial for the Patriots.
