Although New England Patriots quarterback, Tom Brady, has yet to show signs of slowing down, he’s going to need an eventual successor.

But the real question is, who is it going to be?

The Patriots are currently on tabs to close out the first round of this year’s NFL Draft with pick No. 32. And there are recent reports that the team is interested in West Virginia University’s Will Grier. Grier is likely to be chosen anywhere from the middle of the first round to early in the second round.

According to Tony Pauline of Draft Analyst, New England likes him, a lot.

“The New England Patriots have shown a ton on interest in Grier and could draft him as the first round closes out. The New York Giants also like Grier, and he could be their fallback plan if they don’t take a signal caller in Round 1. The Carolina Panthers also have an infatuation with Grier and will consider him in the second round.”

Last season with the Mountaineers, Grier completed 67 percent of his passes for 3,864 yards, 34 touchdowns and eight interceptions.

We will soon find out what the Patriots choose to do, as the 2019 NFL Draft is scheduled for April 25-27.
