Gillette Stadium is prepped to unveil team’s sixth Super Bowl banner

Gillette Stadium, once again, had to get a bit of a makeover – particularly in the banner area.

The New England Patriots took to Twitter yesterday to post a photo of Gillette Stadium’s recent renovations to make room for the team’s sixth Super Bowl banner.


A special pre-game ceremony to unveil the new banner will take place on Sept. 8 when the Pittsburgh Steelers come to town. The two teams will face off in the first Sunday Night Football game of the season.

The Patriots are now tied with the Steelers for the most Super Bowl titles.
