Patriots Acquire TE Eric Saubert
Early this Monday morning, the New England Patriots acquired tight end Eric Saubert from the Atlanta Falcons for a conditional seventh round pick.

This isn't too impactful of a move. We know the Patriots were left quite depleted at the tight end position after the retiring of Rob Gronkowski. Adding a little bit of depth is a pretty smart move especially when it costs you next to nothing. But, there really is no reason to get excited here. This guys been in the league two full seasons so far and has only caught five passes. Wouldn't be surprised if he got cut within a week.
But, as always, we know Bill Belichick and the Patriots are playing chess when the rest of the league is playing checkers, so you never know what could happen.
Carry on with your Monday.
