Dashon Goldson signs with Tampa Bay

Dashon Goldson was a pretty unrealistic possibility for the Patriots anyway, but now he's signed with Tampa Bay. All it took was them sending a private plane to fly him to Florida.

The Patriots have a need at safety, though they have a lot more pressing needs. They tried to sign Goldson a couple of years ago but he re-signed with San Francisco. After some great seasons wearing red and gold, it's likely he just got a huge pay day. We'll see what the money is but I'm betting it was out of the Patriots price range.

The Patriots will play Tampa Bay this year at home.

Update: yeah he got payed.

As @profootballtalk reported, Buccaneers gave S Dashon Goldson a five-year, $41.25 million deal, including $22 million guaranteed.
